Sushi at Home, my first book; was launched at the end of June in Fritz Hansen’s beautiful furniture showroom in Margaret Street. It was a great night, with friends, family and supporters who have helped me throughout this project. Mr. Tokunaga provided freshly made nigiri and sushi rolls, he also attracted a crowd; as watching him work is simply amazing. The sparkling Takara ‘Mio’ Sake provided a really unique flavour for the evening and was accompanied by the melodic, Japanese sounds of Hibiki Ichikawa playing the Tsugaru Shamisen.
I provided a short demonstration of one of the recipes from the book, the real fun was signing books and hearing people’s first thoughts about the book.
